Adventures in Learning Fall 2016 Session

In this volatile political season, join as we have speakers from all political walks of life. Candidates for the 5th South Carolina House District will join us as well as speakers from the American Party. Dr. Karen Kedrowski from Winthrop University will come and discuss voter topics with us, including voter registration, deadlines, and early/absentee voting.

The festivities of Fall bring out our creative side and arts and crafts are back. The wildly popular Paint with Watercolors with instructor Patti Panetti will be here along with Sketching 101 with Brad Sabelli. Shepherd's Center's own Katie Conley will instruct us on glass painting as well as painting pumpkins. Board member Lisa Rumford will spin up her creative flair by teaching us how to make ladder yarn necklaces as well as pine cone zinnia arrangements in preparation for the Fall and Winter holidays.

For the more intellectually minded, the Fall session features World Religions as taught by those that practice them. Featuring Mennonite, Hinduism, Catholicism, Islam, and Greek Orthodox; our speakers are coming from all over the Charlotte Area to teach us a little about their faith.

Enjoy music performances by Frank and Sallie Pullaro, as well as sing-a-long with Carol Howell. Fort Mill Publix pharmacist Tammy Herzog will do two classes discussing health questsions as well as offering flu shots. Fort Mill/Rock Hill Physical Therapy's Anna Brooks Holcomb (DPT) returns to lead our exercise class. Lee Miller will once again lead Creative Writing. And anyone is welcome to join us in playing or learning to play bridge.

Please note our new start time is 9:15 am.
